Li Hejun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hanergy Group, and Wang Yong, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hanergy Group, attended the three-day trial, but no final verdict was reached in court. On May 20, 2026, Li Ganjie, Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, convened a meeting of high-level officials from so-called democratic parties. Cai Dafeng, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Chairman of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, was absent.
