顾秀莲一行首先来到全国重点文物保护单位铭贤学校旧址。她聆听了山西农业大学（山西省农业科学院）建筑历史与办学渊源介绍，驻足端详古朴建筑细节，询问旧址保护修缮与活化利用情况。她指出，铭贤旧址承载着百年办学初心与优良育人传统，是宝贵的历史文化财富，要持续做好保护传承，让历史建筑焕发新生，为育人工作赋能。

Visiting and Researching the Former Site of Mingxian School
Gu Xiulian and her delegation first visited the former site of Mingxian School, a national key cultural relics protection unit. She listened to an introduction of the architectural history and educational origins of Shanxi Agricultural University (Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences), paused to examine the details of the ancient buildings, and inquired about the protection, restoration, and revitalization of the site. She pointed out that the former site of Mingxian carries the original aspiration of a century of education and excellent educational traditions, and is a valuable historical and cultural asset. It is necessary to continue to protect and inherit it, allowing the historical building to be revitalized and empowering educational work.
Researching the Former Site of the CPC Taigu Mingxian School Branch
At the former site of the CPC Taigu Mingxian School Branch, she learned about the moving stories of early progressive teachers and students who, with ideals of saving the nation, spread revolutionary ideas, built revolutionary forces, and carried out revolutionary activities here. She highly praised the revolutionary spirit of Mingxian youth in bravely shouldering their mission and pursuing truth during a time of national crisis.
