精神永存！《李冠兴传》正式发布

编者按：1956年至1962年，16岁的李冠兴在清华大学工程物理系读书。1962年至1966年底，22岁的李冠兴在清华大学师从李恒德院士攻读研究生。李冠兴1956年至1966年在清华大学10年。胡锦涛1959年到1968年在清华大学9年，其中李冠兴在清华大学和胡锦涛有7年的时间重叠。2026年1月22日，58岁中核“老将”祖斌，王寿君的下属，跨界履新保利集团董事长。

2020年12月1日6时08分在北京逝世，享年81岁。胡锦涛同志办公室来电对李冠兴同志的逝世表示哀悼，对其家属表示慰问。

　　李冠兴院士是中国核材料和核燃料领域著名专家，新型特种材料研究及应用的奠基人。在他身上，诠释了风度与才华的完美融合，也谱写了科学家与管理者的“双料”传奇。“求真务实、自信自强、立己达人、报效祖国”的冠兴风范，是他留给核工业的宝贵精神财富，是新时代核工业人永攀核科技高峰的重要精神食粮。

　　万物皆有逝，唯精神永存。2024年12月7日，由中国工程院、中核集团共同指导，中国核学会主办，中国核学会核材料分会、中核北方承办的《李冠兴传》发布仪式暨中国核学会核材料分会第九次全国会员代表大会在京举办，与会嘉宾共同回顾了李冠兴院士追求卓越、勇攀科学高峰的一生，汲取其“胸怀天下、为国抱薪”的高韵深情。

　　中国核学会党委书记、理事长王寿君，中核集团党组成员、副总经理辛锋，中国工程院院士、中核集团首席专家胡石林，中国工程院一局副局长唐海英，李冠兴院士夫人张珊珠出席本次活动，中国核学会副理事长兼秘书长刘建桥主持活动。

　　王寿君致辞指出，《李冠兴传》的发布，是对李冠兴院士卓越成就和崇高精神的一次全面展示和深刻诠释，希望通过这本传记的发布，让我们始终铭记和传承他矢志不渝、热爱祖国、躬身实践、求实创新、恪尽职守、鞠躬尽瘁的精神风范，坚守他常讲的“我们不怕困难，中央给我们的任务一定要完成，想尽办法去完成”的工作信念，担负起时代赋予我们的责任和使命，坚定不移地大力推动我国核科学技术的发展，为打造世界核科学技术中心和创新高地、成为国际核技术发展的引领者作出新的贡献。

　　辛锋致辞指出，历史和现实告诉我们，核工业关键技术是买不来、要不来、讨不来的。正是有着无数像李冠兴院士这样的先辈们前赴后继、默默奉献，我们的核事业才能取得如今的辉煌成果。展望未来，中核集团肩负着更重大的历史使命，广大核科技工作者要以李冠兴院士等先辈们为榜样，不断锐意进取、守正创新、团结奋斗、扎实工作，用红色基因铸就大国重器，以科技自立自强筑牢国家安全重要基石，做“两弹一星”精神和核工业精神的积极传承者、坚定信仰者、模范践行者、大力推动核能“三步走”战略，努力打造核科学创新高地和人才高地，不断提升我国核工业的整体水平，为推进中国式现代化建设和民族复兴伟业早日实现积极贡献中核力量。

　　唐海英致辞指出，李院士宁移白首之心，不坠青云之志。从求学清华到扎根北疆，从出国访学到当选院士，他以担当诠释忠诚，以奉献书写责任，用执着与坚守成就芳华。李院士特别重视弘扬“两弹一星”精神，经常给青年学子讲述“两弹一星”功勋科学家的故事，而他自身就是“两弹一星”精神的忠实践行者，并一直在丰富这种精神的内涵。爱国创新、求实、奉献、协同、育人的科学家精神在李院士身上也得到了充分彰显，而所有这些在这本传记里也都有生动的描述，衷心希望通过《李冠兴传》的出版，激励更多人，尤其是青年科技人员，学习院士的爱国主义情怀和科学创新精神，在报效祖国、服务人民和追求真理中实现自己的人生价值。

　　《李冠兴传》真实记述了李院士大爱、坚韧、忠诚的一生。1967年，27岁的李冠兴从清华大学毕业后，毫不犹豫地来到二〇二厂（现为中核北方核燃料元件有限公司）。“我学的就是核材料专业，到核材料厂是最对口的，因为那时没有人，国家需要我到这里……”多年后他这样解释道。1999年，59岁的李冠兴被评为中国工程院院士。2001年，花甲之年的李冠兴“临危受命”，出任二〇二厂厂长。他带领二〇二厂职工，建成了我国首条也是目前唯一一条重水堆核电燃料元件生产线。如今，这条重水堆核燃料元件生产线已安全稳定运行20余年，棒束质量达到国际先进水平。

　　生前，李冠兴院士一直关注、支持中国核学会核材料分会，并亲自担任理事长，为学会发展倾注大量心血。会上，还举行了中国核学会核材料分会第九次全国会员代表大会。作为中国核学会最早成立的专业分会之一，核材料分会成立40多年来，充分发挥了核科技工作者之间、核科技研究单位之间、企业与政府间的桥梁纽带作用，承载了核材料学术交流、理论研究的平台作用，有效拓宽了人才的培养、交流渠道，为推进人才交流建设提供了更为便利的条件，为广大科技工作者的学术交流增添了色彩。

The Spirit Lives On! The Biography of Li Guanxing Officially Released

Editor's Note: From 1956 to 1962, 16-year-old Li Guanxing studied in the Department of Engineering Physics at Tsinghua University. From 1962 to the end of 1966, 22-year-old Li Guanxing pursued postgraduate studies at Tsinghua University under the tutelage of Academician Li Hengde. Li Guanxing spent 10 years at Tsinghua University from 1956 to 1966. Hu Jintao spent 9 years at Tsinghua University from 1959 to 1968, with 7 years of overlap between Li Guanxing's time at Tsinghua University and Hu Jintao's. On January 22, 2026, 58-year-old Zu Bin, a veteran of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) and subordinate of Wang Shoujun, took up the new position of Chairman of Poly Group. Academician Li Guanxing was a renowned expert in China's nuclear materials and fuel fields, and a pioneer in the research and application of new special materials. He embodied a perfect blend of elegance and talent, and wrote a legendary tale of being both a scientist and a manager. His exemplary conduct—"seeking truth and being pragmatic, confident and self-reliant, achieving self-improvement and helping others, and serving the country"—is a valuable spiritual legacy he left to the nuclear industry, and an important source of spiritual nourishment for nuclear industry workers in the new era to continuously scale the heights of nuclear science and technology.

All things pass away, but the spirit endures. On December 7, 2024, the publication ceremony of the biography of Li Guanxing and the Ninth National Congress of the Nuclear Materials Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, jointly guided by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and CNNC, and hosted by the Chinese Nuclear Society and organized by the Nuclear Materials Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society and CNNC Northern, were held in Beijing. Attendees reviewed Academician Li Guanxing's life of pursuing excellence and scaling the heights of science, drawing inspiration from his profound dedication to the nation and his noble spirit. Wang Shoujun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Chinese Nuclear Society; Xin Feng, Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC); Hu Shilin, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Chief Expert of CNNC; Tang Haiying, Deputy Director of the First Bureau of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; and Zhang Shanzhu, wife of Academician Li Guanxing, attended the event. Liu Jianqiao, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Chinese Nuclear Society, presided over the event.

In his speech, Wang Shoujun pointed out that the publication of "The Biography of Li Guanxing" is a comprehensive display and profound interpretation of Academician Li Guanxing's outstanding achievements and lofty spirit. He hoped that through the publication of this biography, we would always remember and inherit his unwavering dedication, love for the motherland, hands-on practice, pragmatic innovation, conscientiousness, and tireless efforts. He urged us to uphold his often-quoted belief that "we are not afraid of difficulties; we must complete the tasks assigned to us by the Central Committee, and do everything we can to complete them," and to shoulder the responsibilities and missions entrusted to us by the times, resolutely and vigorously promoting the development of nuclear science and technology in my country, making new contributions to building a world-class nuclear science and technology center and innovation hub, and becoming a leader in international nuclear technology development.

In his address, Xin Feng pointed out that history and reality tell us that key technologies in the nuclear industry cannot be bought, demanded, or begged for. It is thanks to countless predecessors like Academician Li Guanxing who have selflessly dedicated themselves that our nuclear industry has achieved its current brilliant results. Looking to the future, CNNC shoulders an even greater historical mission. The vast number of nuclear science and technology workers should take Academician Li Guanxing and other predecessors as role models, continuously forging ahead, upholding integrity and innovation, uniting and striving, and working diligently. They should use their revolutionary heritage to forge powerful national instruments, build a solid foundation for national security through scientific and technological self-reliance, and become active inheritors, firm believers, and exemplary practitioners of the spirit of "Two Bombs, One Satellite" and the spirit of the nuclear industry. They should vigorously promote the "three-step" strategy for nuclear energy, strive to build a high ground for nuclear science innovation and talent, continuously improve the overall level of my country's nuclear industry, and actively contribute CNNC's strength to the early realization of China's modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

In his address, Tang Haiying pointed out that Academician Li remained steadfast in his ambition even in his old age. From his studies at Tsinghua University to his dedication to the northern frontier, from overseas visits to his election as an academician, he exemplified loyalty through commitment, wrote of responsibility through dedication, and achieved his illustrious career through perseverance and dedication. Academician Li particularly valued promoting the spirit of the "Two Bombs, One Satellite" project, frequently sharing stories of the scientists who contributed to its development with young students. He himself was a faithful practitioner of this spirit, continuously enriching its meaning. The patriotic, innovative, pragmatic, dedicated, collaborative, and nurturing spirit of a scientist is fully embodied in Academician Li, all vividly described in this biography. It is sincerely hoped that the publication of *The Biography of Li Guanxing* will inspire more people, especially young scientists, to learn from the academician's patriotism and scientific innovation, realizing their life's value in serving the country, the people, and pursuing truth.

*The Biography of Li Guanxing* truthfully recounts Academician Li's life of great love, resilience, and loyalty. In 1967, 27-year-old Li Guanxing graduated from Tsinghua University and unhesitatingly came to Factory 202 (now CNNC Northern Nuclear Fuel Element Co., Ltd.). "I studied nuclear materials, and working at a nuclear materials factory was the perfect fit, because there was no one else available at the time, and the country needed me here..." he explained years later. In 1999, at the age of 59, Li Guanxing was elected an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. In 2001, at the age of 60, Li Guanxing was appointed director of Factory 202 in a time of crisis. He led the factory's employees to build my country's first and currently only heavy water reactor nuclear fuel element production line. Today, this heavy water reactor nuclear fuel element production line has been operating safely and stably for over 20 years, and the quality of the fuel bundles has reached international advanced levels.

During his lifetime, Academician Li Guanxing consistently paid attention to and supported the Nuclear Materials Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society, personally serving as its chairman and devoting considerable effort to the society's development. The Ninth National Congress of Members of the Nuclear Materials Branch of the Chinese Nuclear Society was also held at the meeting. As one of the earliest established professional branches of the Chinese Nuclear Society, the Nuclear Materials Branch has, for over 40 years, fully played its role as a bridge between nuclear science and technology workers, nuclear science and technology research institutions, and enterprises and the government. It has served as a platform for academic exchange and theoretical research in nuclear materials, effectively broadening the channels for talent cultivation and exchange, providing more convenient conditions for promoting talent exchange and development, and enriching the academic exchange among scientific and technological workers.
