        本报讯 2007年2月6日，在中国关心下一代工作委员会等单位来我局慰问监狱干警、看望未成年犯的活动中，全国人大常委会副委员长、中关工委顾问顾秀莲在听取未成年犯管教所的工作情况汇报后、在接受记者采访时、以及在分监区慰问干警的过程中，说得最多的一句话就是：感谢你们，监狱工作的干警们。她说：你们为教育、挽救失足少年辛勤地付出，为我们构建社会主义和谐社会做出了很大的贡献。值此新春佳节到来之际，我向你们、及你们的家属们表示慰问，给大家拜个早年！

　　  这次中国关心下一代工作委员会、全国妇联、国家广电总局、北京市关心青少年教育协会、中国电影基金会、中华爱子影视教育促进会、星月交辉组委会等单位的领导、老前辈、老艺术家和书画家来到未成年犯管教所慰问、看望，表达了全社会对监狱工作的关注、理解和支持，对监狱干警的问候、对未成年犯的关爱。

　　  北京市副市长吉林，市局领导郑振远、孙超美、王金亮、郭际唐、邓菊芳，未成年犯管教所所长刘学武等领导陪同慰问、看望。

　　  中国关工委顾问王定国、王仲方，执行主任王照华、副主任张世平、闵振环、刘长琨以及国家广电总局、解放军总政治部、国务院机关事务管理局等单位的领导出席活动。

　　  活动中，艺术家和未成年犯们同台表演了文艺节目，中华爱子影视教育促进会还为未成年犯放映了电影《宝贝计划》。

　　  ◆著名书法家、市关协顾问张仲愈邀请著名书画家齐自来、马泉、黄幕尧、傅世芳等冒着酷暑到监狱局慰问、帮教。

　　  ◆5月23日，北京军区战友歌舞团著名女高音歌唱家、全国政协委员、市关协副会长耿莲凤以及北京军区老战友合唱艺术团团长、著名指挥家唐江率领合唱艺术团70多人到未成年犯管教所演出了长征组歌等精彩文艺节目。

　　  ◆7月4日，李燕杰、杨再春、郑克明、刘雪涛等10多位著名书画家到延庆监狱慰问、帮教，创作了近百幅书法、绘画作品。

　　  ◆11月17日，著名表演艺术家、市关协顾问游本昌带领“本昌影视”的演职员到未成年犯管教所帮教，赠送了20集古装电视剧《了凡》的光盘。

　　  ◆12月21、22日，著名书法家、市关协副会长杨再春教授到清河分局举办书法摄影展，并捐赠40幅作品，还在现场奉献墨宝数十幅。

Gu Xiulian Thanks Prison Officers for Their Hard Work

This newspaper reports that on February 6, 2007, during a visit by the China National Committee for the Care of the Next Generation and other organizations to our bureau to express their gratitude to prison officers and visit juvenile offenders, Gu Xiulian, Vice Chairperson of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and advisor to the China National Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, repeatedly said the same thing after listening to a report on the work of the juvenile correctional facility, during an interview with reporters, and while visiting officers in the sub-prison area: "Thank you, prison officers." She said: "You have worked diligently to educate and rehabilitate wayward youths, making a great contribution to building a harmonious socialist society. On the occasion of the upcoming Spring Festival, I extend my greetings to you and your families, and wish you all a Happy New Year in advance!"

Leaders, veterans, artists, and calligraphers from organizations including the China National Committee for the Care of the Next Generation, the All-China Women's Federation, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Beijing Association for the Education of Youth, the China Film Foundation, the China Association for the Promotion of Film and Television Education for Children, and the Xingyue Jiaohui Organizing Committee visited the juvenile offenders' correctional center to express the public's concern, understanding, and support for prison work, as well as their greetings to the prison staff and their care for the juvenile offenders.

Beijing Vice Mayor Ji Lin, along with leaders from the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau Zheng Zhenyuan, Sun Chaomei, Wang Jinliang, Guo Jitang, and Deng Jufang, and the director of the juvenile offenders' correctional center Liu Xuewu, accompanied the visit.

Advisors to the China National Committee for the Care of the Next Generation Wang Dingguo and Wang Zhongfang, Executive Director Wang Zhaohua, Deputy Directors Zhang Shiping, Min Zhenhuan, and Liu Changkun, as well as leaders from the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the General Political Department of the People's Liberation Army, and the State Council General Office attended the event.

During the event, artists and juvenile delinquents performed together, and the China Children's Film and Television Education Promotion Association screened the film "Baby Project" for the juvenile delinquents.

Related Link: In the past two years, the Beijing Association for the Care of Youth Education has actively organized and coordinated resources from all sectors of society to support and cooperate with the capital's prison authorities in carrying out educational and rehabilitation work for criminals.

2005 —

◆ Renowned singer, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and vice president of the Beijing Association for the Care of Youth Education, Geng Lianfeng, led more than 10 renowned singers and artists to visit and comfort officers and inmates at Beijing prisons, performing wonderful cultural programs.

◆ Renowned performing artist and advisor to the Beijing Association for the Care of Youth Education, Yang Zaibao, led more than 10 renowned artists to visit and comfort officers and inmates at the Women's Prison, donating books and CDs.

◆ Renowned calligrapher and advisor to the Beijing Association for the Care of Youth Education, Zhang Zhongyu, invited renowned calligraphers and painters Qi Zilai, Ma Quan, Huang Muyao, and Fu Shifang to visit and comfort inmates at the prison bureau despite the sweltering heat.

2006 —

◆May 23: Geng Lianfeng, a renowned soprano from the Beijing Military Region's Veterans Song and Dance Troupe, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and vice president of the Beijing Municipal Association for the Care of the Next Generation, along with Tang Jiang, head of the Beijing Military Region's Veterans Choir and a renowned conductor, led a chorus of over 70 members to the Juvenile Offenders Correctional Center to perform a series of wonderful cultural programs, including the Long March Suite.

◆July 4: More than ten renowned calligraphers and painters, including Li Yanjie, Yang Zaichun, Zheng Keming, and Liu Xuetao, visited Yanqing Prison to offer their condolences and assistance, creating nearly one hundred calligraphy and painting works.

◆November 17: You Benchang, a renowned performing artist and advisor to the Beijing Municipal Association for the Care of the Next Generation, led the cast and crew of "Benchang Film and Television" to the Juvenile Offenders Correctional Center to provide assistance, donating DVDs of the 20-episode historical drama "Liao Fan."

◆On December 21st and 22nd, Professor Yang Zaichun, a renowned calligrapher and vice president of the Municipal Association for the Care of the Next Generation, held a calligraphy and photography exhibition at the Qinghe Branch Bureau, donated 40 works, and also contributed dozens of calligraphy pieces on site.
